Visible learning was today’s hot topic.
I agree with the statement of “learning being visible” and today’s PLD was great at highlighting and emphasising the importance of learning not only being visible but also accessible for not only the adult communities of our kura but more importantly for our aakonga.
Through today’s learning I was able to build the beginnings of my site independently. I really enjoy how I am able to create a learning tool that may assist in encouraging my aakonga to work independently, building strong self – efficacy for aakonga and enabling them to work at their individual paces.
Learning about “Multi Modal” planning and teaching was great to see. Then working together to build a central database of resources was great and something I would encourage all kaiako to do. We are all working for the same purpose right? Our aakonga. I will definitely be referring back to our database for quick reference of some amazing resources and their links.
All in all, great session of learning today.
